Is Self-Discovery a Waste of Time? Why the Inner Work Actually Matters
Is being a seeker a waste of time?
Is there really value in asking the big questions: Who am I? What matters to me? What do I actually want? ... when there are meals to make, kids to pick up, work to finish, content to create, and a whole life demanding your attention?
A conversation with my mom got me thinking about the difference between managing your life and truly living it.
Because we can be incredibly busy, productive and “in action” while still moving through life according to conditioning, old wounds, expectations and a script we never consciously chose.
In this episode, I explore what The Matrix can teach us about the path of the Seeker, why inner work isn't a retreat from real life, and why slowing down long enough to question what's driving you may be one of the most practical things you can do.
We talk about:
-
the difference between being in action and actually being free
-
why slowing down can feel like a waste of time when you're stuck in managing mode
-
how conditioning and old wounds quietly shape our choices
-
the red-pill choice of looking beneath the surface and doing the inner work
-
why your liberation doesn't only change your life, it creates a ripple effect around you
-
what it means to move through life from your Truth and aliveness instead of demands, expectations and the hamster wheel
And I introduce the intention behind my Five-Pointed Star Path: becoming Aligned & Turned On. Aligned with your Truth and turned on by the aliveness of actually living your life.
So the question isn't only: Are you a seeker?
It's: How much are you actually prioritizing your seeking?
